Vespa ET2 and ET4 versions were both designed
to replace the classic PX range of scooters,
they are both quite happy as a tourer or
a town scooter. The 50cc two stroke engine
features Piaggio's FAST (Fully Atomised
Stratified Turbulence) engine, making it
the first two wheeler with a two stroke
direct injection engine. The ET version
could not quite get rid of the PX range
though as world wide sales particularly
in the UK continued to keep the model in
production. Styling from the seventies,
but good build quality and solid construction
keeps this model going. With four speed
manual gears, add ons such as front disc
brake and even catalysed engines should
see this model produced for a few more years.
Touring models of Piaggio's range comes
in the form of the SuperHexagon, available
in 125, 180 and 250cc engine sizes, comfortable
tourers with a range of standard goodies.
These range from large panniers, to mobile
phone chargers, windscreen to backrest for
the rider, the SuperHexagon is an ideal
tourer.
