Yamaha's YQ50 Aerox scooter comes in 50cc engine size, with liquid cooled engine, both front and rear disc brake, and is also available in Biaggi and Virgin paint schemes. The more basic WHY and Neo's models are aimed more at the commuter end of the market, the Neo's has the better styling of the two, with the WHY's larger 16 inch wheels making it more of a step through than a scooter.

The BWS has been around for a while now, and a "next generation" is now available to keep it upto date. Again similar to the smaller engine versions, the Aerox and Neo's are both available with 100cc engine sizes.

Yamaha's middle weight commuters the Cygnus and Cygnus R both come equipped with a 125cc four stroke engine, disc brake, helmet and glove box. At the top end of Yamaha's range is the Majesty, the smallest of which comes in 125cc engine size. Three versions of the 250cc are available, the DX is the more upmarket model of the range, while the DX ABS as it name suggest comes with anti lock braking, which Yamaha pioneered in the scooter market.

YQ50 - AROEX - The Pocket Rocket
The Aerox 50R is a pocket sensation! It’s the sports scooter that comes complete with a racy, liquid-cooled powerplant with enough thrust for any day-to-day application (and in some states of Australia, with only a car license required).

The Aerox 50 is small on engine capacity but big on features. Aside from its sporty aerodynamics, you’ll find the kind of specs that can trade blows with the superscooters.

Just like its bigger brother, the Aerox 50R features fat, Michelin-shod 13-inch five-spoke wheels matched to Paioli suspension at both ends, so you get a lot more ride for your dollar.

There’s also a hard-core Brembo front stopper with a big, 190mm drilled disc rotor, for hauling the Aerox down into turns!

YQ100 - AEROX - The Ton of Fun
Revving all the way to 6800rpm, the punchy Aerox 100 packs a few surprises, including enough torque to comfortably pull the weight of both rider and passenger. Because after all, there’s no point in keeping all this fun to yourself. To that end, the dual seat is long and well-padded for pillion comfort, and features a convenient under-seat helmet locker (also on Aerox 50).

Both Aerox capacity models utilise electric starting, easy-to-use clutchless transmissions, with the simplicity and reliability of V-belt.

T-MAX 500
The synthesis of scooter and motorcycle

When the T-Max was launched to an unsuspecting motorcycle world a couple of years back it re-wrote the rulebook on maxi scooter performance.

But now we changed somenthing… there’s even more performance. The 2004 model T-Max underlines the revolutionary original design concept of sports commuter – to a T. It’s a scooter with an unrivalled mix of versatility and features, built into a level of chassis, suspension and handling performance that would impress a sports-bred motorcyclist.

With significant technical changes including a new electronic fuel injection system and higher compression ratio of 11:1, T-Max’s 500cc twin-cylinder 4-stroke engine has more overall horsepower and torque than before. And even more ability to surprise cars (and a lot of bikes) away from the traffic lights.
When it comes to handling, T-Max means business.

With its rigid frame, high-spec suspension and brakes, and stylish cast wheels it dwarfs the previously held concept of ‘scooter handling’ and will out-perform many good motorcycles. Of course, because it’s a T-Max, to get this much throttle gratification and road holding confidence, you don’t have to sacrifice the luxury and functionality that scooters are famous for.
There’s the same automatic transmission that makes day-to-day motivation a no-brainer, abundant legroom and the generous weather protection that goes with T-Max’s aerodynamic bodywork and screen.

The high level of cockpit luxury extends to plush seats for both rider (with adjustable backrest) and passenger, with under-seat storage room for a helmet or briefcase. And there’s even a mobile phone recharger outlet. T-Max. Authentic grand tourer, muscular luxury commuter and sporty, mountain road performer – no other scooter can match it.

YP400 - MAJESTY 400

Majesty 400’s super-smooth 400cc four-stroke engine is powerful and flexible, and with a sophisticated fully automatic V-belt transmission, operation is as easy as turning the throttle.

Majesty 400’s chassis geometry is designed for smooth, safe, confidence-inspiring handling, while high-specification wheels, tyres and brakes provide an intuitive response to rider input.
A sleek, aerodynamic fairing subtly tips its hat to Yamaha’s rich motorcycle sportsbike racing heritage, and behind the protective screen lies Majesty's swept instrument cowl. Here you’ll find all the necessary data, including speedo, tacho and a new LCD diagnostics gauge.
A glance toward Majesty's suave tapered tail end reveals plush seating for both rider and passenger, including a supportive rider back support.
Beach (or mountains) on Sunday, work on Monday. Majesty 400’s power and the sophistication make your A to B scooting as relaxing and pleasurable as it should be. Enjoy the ride.
